Frequently Asked Questions

Working From Home

Do I need a GP referral?
Can I get a Medicare rebate?
What if I have private health insurance?

You do not need a GP referral.

However, a Medicare rebate under the Medicare Better Access Program is available for eligible clients. To receive a Medicare rebate you will need a  valid GP referral letter that has been created under a Mental Health Care Plan. You can discuss with your GP  whether you are eligible.

With a valid GP referral, a Medicare rebate of $145.25 applies per session (from 1st July 2025). The Medicare rebate is available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (depending on need).

If you hold private health insurance, you would need to enquire with your insurance what you are covered for under your policy. Claims under private health insurance are only an option if you are not already claiming Medicare rebates for sessions.

Presently, I do not see clients funded under WorkCover, DVA, NDIS or other third party funding.

I am unable to provide court/legal  reports or assessments.
